Here is a quick piece from my first solo book, “The Secret of Clean Socks”.
Hey Hey and welcome back! Today, I thought I would share a piece from an upcoming children’s book I wrote/illustrated. The book is called “Pixie Ann and the Magic Wand” and will be available through Amazon soon.
Over the last week, I have shared my initial concepts for an Otisflix (my home media streaming server) logo. Yes. I am a nerd. How many of you have your own personal streaming service?! Those who know me know that I don’t do anything halfway. So, I had to create a logo for this.
Hello once again and welcome back. I’ve picked up a few new followers over the past few days and I really appreciate it! Thanks for joining. At this time, I’m still trying to figure out what is the best way to move forward. Should I blog? How often? Should I use social media? Twitter or Instagram? It is all really overwhelming honestly. In the meantime, I’ve been enjoying posting the daily art.
Back when I was a kid, I vividly remember going to professional wrestling shows with my family. During my early childhood, wrestling was running through a hot period. Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair were on top of the world in the WWF and NWA. To this day, I still enjoy watching.
It’s Friday baybe! Another week is complete. If you’re in the St. Louis area and need something to do tonight, head on over to Pieces STL. I’ll be there from 8-10p drawing free caricatures. Who doesn’t like FREE? Get on down there tonight!
Hello once again and welcome back! Here for day #4 of the daily art gimmick. As I mentioned yesterday, I’m taking a few days off from posting Otisflix logo work. It can’t all be the same stuff everyday or that would get boring. Today, I thought I would share a section from a book I recently illustrated.
Hello once again and welcome back. Yesterday, I mentioned that I was creating a logo for my home media streaming service. This service, which I call, Otisflix, is simply a media server that I stream tv shows from when at home. For my daily art post, I figured I would share my concepts page.
It’s Daily Art time. It should be a lot of fun to see where these posts take me. As I mentioned yesterday, I’m leaving myself a lot of wiggle room as to what I share. My goal is to make illustrations the bulk of what is shared. I’m also going back and forth on if I should post on weekends or leave it for Monday through Friday.
The art for today is a design piece. Over the past year or so, I’ve been using an extra PC as a streaming device. I’ve gathered my collection of TV shows on DVD. It takes a bit of work but I get the episodes onto the computer and organized. Using Plex, which is a fantastic client media server, I can stream my own collection to any tv or mobile device. The benefit is I can access the media anywhere, I don’t have to pay a monthly streaming fee and I don’t have to worry about my favorite shows being removed from a streaming service. Obviously, I had to create a logo for this setup… which I call “Otisflix”.
Happy President’s Day to all of those living in the US. We all enjoy an extra day off for a three-day weekend… except me, as I have already made calls to two separate clients. They must not have gotten the memo.
Anyway, I’m planning on trying something new here on the blog. Later, I will be posting articles. These articles will be complete with sample art and examples. They should be fun. For now, I want to start pushing myself to share some kind of art everyday. I’m leaving the rules fairly open on this. Here is the art for today…
